Could not be more disappointed with the Rockdale anytime fitness manager Olivia. I had a problem with my membership and left many messages and emails and she neglected to call me to rectify the problem. She purposely wanted my account to remain overdue so i receive penalties and was threatened by msg that my overdue account will be passed on to a third party. All i wanted was to speak to someone to cancel my membership but it became a two month battle.

Being a 15 year member the way I was treated was disrespectful and disgusting.

Reason for my cancellation was they decided to double my fee without notifying me in anyway. Very poor service. I will be joining another gym brand because of anytime fitness Rockdale.

After discovering that I have been getting charged without my knowledge I contacted the gym to let them know that I had moved and no longer will be using their facilities. My account was suspending due to COVID-19 and I was unaware that they had reinstated it.

As a member of Anytime Fitness for over 15 years, I was expecting the same great service I had received all over the world. However, what I got was something drastically different.

I was talked to with such disregard and disrespect by the person claiming to be the Erina Locations manager. She was completely unwilling to accept that this was a mistake and hid behind their policy that even if it was without my knowledge or consent, it is within their policy so it is legal and they do not need to refund me.

Fine, I don't need the refund then I just need to cancel. Well, I can't do that either because again their policy is that I go into the gym to cancel.

Now, I should explain that this was never the location I intended to be where my account was processed, I was just using the gym while staying in the area to take care of my elderly parents.

They transferred my account details, payment information, and apparently all my rights over to the franchise owner without my consent but again, according to their policy.

I tried to call my previous branch to see if they could help me but they were not able to either and reaffirmed that their policy supersedes my rights, privacy, information, desire, and knowledge.

Being a business owner myself, if a customer were to call me and informed me that I had been mistakenly charging them for services that they were not using or getting, I would be a no brainer, of course, they would get refunded the money because they clearly are not using the product, service, or location. It's just not right to make someone pay for something that they are unaware of and are not using.

At this point, I don't even care about the refund. I have repeatedly asked that my membership be canceled. But the gym manager insists that the only way to do this is to go in and sign her paperwork. I am no longer in the area. I have moved my elderly parents to a new home and am currently working to run my business and take care of them. Driving to go sign her paperwork is not something I have the time to do.

Furthermore, I have called the corporate customer service number and they also are "unable" to help me sighting that their policy is such that only the franchise owner can help me. I have requested this person's name since they are the only person who can help me but neither the location manager nor the corporate office can give me this person's name.

I have loved and been a proud member of Anytime fitness for so long, I now feel so betrayed by this brand. I can not believe that this is something I am still having to deal with. I can not believe they would hind behind a policy to justify taking my money without my knowledge. Even if the policy is written and the email was sent, It still doesn't make it right. It's fraudulent and abusive. This goes way beyond the money that I have been charged this has broken my trust and I have been treated so poorly that I never want to walk into an Anytime Fitness again.... ever, even to sign your little papers.

Muswellbrook gym does not allow its members to use main pieces of equipment due to classes going on in the downstairs area. But, if you pay an additional $5 fee to join the class on top of you monthly fee you can use the equipment. Management when asked if you can use a piece of equipment not being used in the downstairs area during a class replies no because another member abused staff for not being able to train previously so therefore she says no now! But, if I pay additional $5 I can use even when the covid19 - 4 metre square ruling would allow me in the downstairs room to use the equipment not being used for the class.

hhhmmm fuzzy logic but so be it!

The covid19 safety plan on display too stated nothing of the nature as to this ruling not being allowed.

Not once did my contract state I was signing up for a SOMETIMES GYM! I signed up for a ANYTIME GYM! Sorry, but I pay my monthly fee to use the gym to follow a specific program but not being allowed to use equipment when not in use is ridiculous. Move the equipment upstairs so the patrons can train and use!

On another note - the wipe dispenser are never fully stocked often have to walk to back of gym to get wipes to wipe equipment down.

It’s becoming a joke! Might be time to find a new gym for me and my family.

Muswellbrook Gym is a joke. Does not allow paying members to use equipment when not being used because a class is on in the room. Well I pay a membership to be at and use the gym and equipment too.

Management threw the good old covid19 card.

Well hello, Muswellbrook gym move your equipment upstairs so it can be used by ALL patrons. Or move your classes elsewhere.

 by Lolly

Muswellbrook gym is telling members they cannot use equipment when a class is on. It’s a huge joke.

 by Channy

Muswellbrook gym and management need to get it together. Huge joke at that place not allowing patrons to use equipment, equipment that is free. Oh wait let’s throw out the covid19 card or safety plan which mentions nothing in regards to refusing paying members usage of the gym and equipment!

I have a mental health condition of severe anxiety,. It has been diagnosed by a clinical psychiatrist via my workplace, plus my GP. I provided medical certificates to Minto Anytime Fitness and they refused to cancel my membership. This reprehensible. One of themes disgusting ways to to treat a person who's a mental health condition.

Would like an apology from franchise owner Ryan who bullied myself and my friends due to a complaint re training with my friends on the dedicated gym floor. He had a problem who I trained with and the space we used. This has resulted in 5 cancelled memberships due to his lack of communication skills and unable to give valid reasons. We felt bullied, dismissed and shocked by his behaviour.
