Overcharging appears to be the standard in our local IGA - reading some of these reviews makes me think our local IGA Food and Liquor on Waverley Rd, Malvern East is not just a rogue operator. I noticed an overcharge on many items, I picked up the errors and the difference was refunded. Sometimes it scans .50 more than the listed price, sometimes more. During the panic buying, they really ramped up the over-charging, an extra $2 on dips and the Bouchier meat can be marked up a lot, sometimes as much as $10 - if you pick up the error, they'll say, we put in the weight, not the price and refund the difference.

It happens too often for it to be a mistake, I called out 2 overcharges on the meat. All of their operators seems to be trained in the art of overcharging. I avoid the store but recently decided I'd buy just one item rather than go to the supermarket - overcharged .50 - I queried it on principle, he walked down to the fridge and came back saying it was $1 more, I walked down and he knew the game was over and immediately handed me my change.

It's pure greed and disgusting that they'd take advantage during the current virus crisis.

I won't go there again for anything...

I'd say check your receipts and take note of the price of your meat or any other expensive item.

I was going to complain to Consumer Affairs but they require you to send a written complaint to the business first - as if that would help - these people don't care about one customer.

I've told my family and friends to avoid this particular IGA

This distancing bit is hard to do when the staff at IGA Gin Gin QLD do not care how long the line is at the checkout. Is shop policy is only to open the two express checkouts before 730 AM. At less 12 customers waiting were over 50 and line up down the freezer section. My arthritis was inflamed by the I got to the checkout.

I'm a small business owner that supplies products on consignment to IGA Butler, 104 Kingsbridge Blvd, Butler WA 6036. I really feel I need to write this review in support of the wonderful job that Adam, Leah and their staff are doing with this amazing shop. Its a small shop but is probably the best looking IGA I've been to. Its always well stocked, everything looks fresh and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. My invoices are always paid on time which is a huge thing in this economic climate. It's an absolute pleasure dealing with (and shopping at) IGA Butler. Well done Adam, Leah and all the staff. kind regards Karen, Sweet Hearts Chocolate Bouquets & Gifts

Am so dissappointed in our so called local IGA store in Fitzroy Crossing this week broccoli $19.99 kg. And scotch fillet steak $61.60 a kg all come about as soon as our local indigenous community got the goverment bonus. If this is not price manipulation what is, being a farmer i know the producer is not getting that sort of return. Shame on you IGA. Supporting your local community BS.

Rainbow IGA at Doonside sold me perished goods, the store owner Shane (so he said as he did not look or act like it) refused to give a refund or even look at the products bought just 2 hours earlier which were obviously off!!!

He is a very, very poor representative of IGA. Been shopping there 30 years but while Shane runs it I will not consider going back!!

Hi I just wanted to say a huge thanks to my local IGA in Carrum Downs, I've been shopping there for 3 years and I can't fault them at all, the staff are amazing, helpful and just delightful, I moved near this store 3 years ago and love it, I know the staff are dealing with ungrateful people in our time of need but seriously they are doing an amazing job so well done to you all.

I live in Yass and there is no toilet paper in any of the supermarkets. I have been told by you guys that the Yass shop has had no delivery of toilet paper in a week. This is unfair that you are proposing packing shelves with toilet paper for the city shops. Screw the country seems to be your attitude. There are other items like frozen goods which are running short. You want understanding but you refuse to think of Yass a small country tow. Woolworths and Aldi are the same. Please do something about it or get someone who can.

Yous suck the iga store at Austin ferry is discussing know measures for the virus at all sells shit fresh vegs he doesn’t desti have the store what’s going on with COVID 19 he does give a shit and I’m going to let the health department know of him

iga minchinbury nsw is selling unbranded clear wrapped 24 roll toilet paper for $21.00c. I hope that all residents protest against this ripoff and will spend their hard earned at the new WOOLWORTHS EASTERN CREEK when it opens. also Head Office said that they can because they are independents, NO responsibility on their behalf. So no need to support your local IGA ,they don't support the locals.
