I never ever in my whole life felt so humiliated and bullied in my 51 years of age !!! One of the employees from forever new in Watergardens told her manager that I called her “ a gross b*tch “
I was confused and I felt like this was a nightmare and I was going to wake up soon but unfortunately it was real !!!
This is how it all happened, i bought a dress for my daughter and soon as I walked out of the store, I was so happy and called my daughter. I told her that I bought her the dress for the wedding event she was going to. She asked me to send her a photo of the dress so I did. My daughter said that it is not what she wanted so I walked back into the store and the same lady that served me the first time was still at the counter so I explained to her what just happened.
I asked her for a refund and she explained that it’s a sale item and they do not refund. I replied “ I literally just bought the dress a couple of minutes ago”
She said to me with an attitude if you like you may speak with the manager. So I asked if the manager was there she said yes so she went to get the manager.
The manager came and also told me the same thing so I agreed to get a credit note. While the other girl there was writing the credit note the same girl that called the manager snuck into the changing rooms where the manager was and told the manager that I said to her “ that her manager is a gross b*tch “
The manager bolted out of the change room yelling at me saying that I called her a gross B*tch…. I was SHOCKED!!!!!! I started shaking I felt so humiliated! All the customers in the shop, about 12 easy, stopped and stared at us, no one knew what was happening including myself. I kept trying to tell her that I NEVER EVER called anyone that in my life! The employee said to me “yes you did !!! She continued saying “ you should not judge someone by their looks “ I was like “I never ever said that “ the manager looked at the other girl there and said “ she did call me a gross b!tch didn’t she ?!!!” And the other girl quietly said “yes” I was begging both of them to please tell the TRUTH … but instead the girl that lied about me called security. I kept saying to myself this is INSANE !!! Lucky for me the security knew me because I’m always at Watergardens and I speak to everyone! I have a friendly and bubbly relationship with every one there, i live across the road from Watergardens I never ever had any problems with anyone. Not just that, when I kept saying that I never said that the employee NOT the manager, in front of everyone including the security guards, yelled for me to get out !!!! The security guard told me that he believed me 100 % and told me to go to customer care and explain what just happened. So I did. I started crying and a few people gathered around me trying to console me even some of the people that work in the centre. Including the manager from the store NONI B Her name is Andrea I am so grateful I had these people around me because I felt like I was going to faint.
I called head office and spoke to Monica explained everything that happened to me.
Now I’ll wait for their response, I truly hope that this will never happen to anyone.

I purchased three pairs of the Grace pants from Forever New on 21.02.2021 because of the advertised discount. The discount wasn't applied at checkout and when I contacted Forever New to follow up on this, I was told this is because the discount 'does not apply to full price items', despite clearly showing on the website that it does. I was also told that Forever New had already 'had a chat' to me about this. When I asked for evidence of the chat, I was told that that must have been someone else enquiring about the same thing and that there was confusion about this. But no confusion apparently about the discount - they are adamantly refusing to honour the advertised price. So disappointing from a brand I have previously enjoyed and shopped with for years.
Went to shop in the northland store today. Was asked why I wasn’t wearing my mask (medically exempt). Showed my proof of vaccination but I was told I had to show my medical exemption in order to be allowed in to shop in their store. Staff were extremely rude. Such discrimination. Appaling treatment of customers.
Very bad experience. would shop anywhere else except this place
