I booked my car in for a service, which was organised for today, Saturday 28/01/2023.
The timeframe provided to me by your text messaging service was between 2pm and 4pm.
I received a call at 12:34pm on Saturday, which I missed. I immediately called back at 12:51pm where the operator advised me that she had no idea why I was being called and suggested to me that the mechanic may already be on the way and arriving before the scheduled time – which was great.
About an hour later, at 1:47pm I received a call from another of your staff members advising that due to two mechanics booking off, he had to “shuffle things around” and asked if I can reschedule to the next week. I said no to which he advised that he had no other choice.
This brings me to a series of questions:
•Why was I not informed in the early morning that you are short staffed? I lost hours at work because of this.
•Why would your staff member ask me to move my booing to next week and then proceed to say there is no other option? Was he trying to be nice?
•I rightly asked for a discount due to the inconvenience and now having to miss two days of work. The staff member said he can waive the weekend call-out fee if he books me in on Monday. I was unaware that Monday is a weekend? What weekend fee is there to be waived on a business day?
•Your staff member said he called me around 10am to tell me about the above. This is untrue. I had no calls, texts or emails prior to 12:34pm.
•Your staff member tried to gain my sympathy for the short-staffed environment you guys have in your business however that is not my problem nor my concern. We are all struggling at work in the current climate. Why advertise your services the way you do when it is not true?
I had high hopes of your services and looked forward to switching over to a mobile mechanic to save time and effort however this experience, which didn’t even result in at least a visit by your mechanics, is absolutely shocking and a disgrace.
You shouldn’t be offering the services you have on your website as they are false and misleading.
This cannot be a one-off, I am sure there were others who received similar calls today as well. I know there are also some who probably were lucky enough to have their cars serviced. I wonder why they got through and I didn’t? Perhaps their vehicles were bigger jobs resulting in more $$$ for Lube Mobile.
Called lube to get my axle replaced , it took 2 days to replace it , the car was driven at 100km on thw freeway and the axle broke off, lucky no one was killed . Lube took my car to try fix , it needed a new gear box and axle they returned my car with heating problems and a loose gear box and axle the car cannot be driven and richard wont return my calls or msgs ,my partner is 8 months pregnant and we need the car for her appointments and incase she goes into labour , my car will never be the same and it seems like the fractures from the axle falling off has done serious damage , the car was returned it had no wheel allignment the gear box was second hand thar he put in and the steering is all ova the place . I want the car replaced this is disgusting the way i have been treated.
Local manager advised he put a formal complaint in about the call centre who booked my job, told me they would need to charge for a special permit, then couldn’t get an inspector for the pink slip, tried to charge me an extra $40 per tyre because they misquoted, couldn’t get anyone to do the wheel alignment, yelled at me after I became overwhelmed by the drama and continual phone calls. The worst! For a pink slip, the compulsory basic service and two tyres (no alignment), and an entire day of extreme frustration and provocation from their drama it cost $970. Better value and service at any other mechanic that I have ever dealt with in my 60 years.

Booked 3 days in advance took a day off work called in the morning of scheduled service was told all was ok for service then an hr later get a call to say bad luck can’t get there for the service.
Can rebook for 2 days later.
Fantastic of the caller to just assume I can afford another day off work . I’m really wondering if they will turn up this time.
I’ve got my own business and know if I treated my clients with the total disregard the LUBE MOBILE treated me I’d be out of business.
Great service no hidden costs. As per quote work has been done. No issues as of now.
