Harassed today at Repco Wollongong by staff. Got everything on video. Taking legal action.

I am writing to inform you about a WORLD CLASS experience delivered by Kevin Homes (hope this is the correct spelling) who is a manager at the Nunawading, Repco located at 283 Whitehorse Rd, VIC 3131.

I recently purchased a 9 stage 12/24 V 25 Amp Repco charger Model RBC25HDSS3 to charge the battery in a rigid truck from Repco in North Lakes at 55 Flinders Parade, QLD 4509. The sales person was friendly and suggested the Repco brand which was cheaper and something they use themselves to charge batteries. As I had no idea about how to use the charger, I came armed with photos of my dual battery 24V configuration and given the sales person said they used the product themselves and confidently told me where to connect the cables I was sold. I then proceeded to ask the staff member about the other settings on the Repco charger and found that he did not seem familiar with the device. Confused I left the store and after reading the instructions found that the advice contradicted the North Lakes store person. I then returned to the North Lakes store and asked another operator, this time the operator asked around and said he was not sure (which was at least honest).

As the truck is a mobile clinic and I wanted to make sure the electricals were not damaged so I attempted to find a support number and being a Repco generic product, there was none!

I then called up the customer service line and after being bounced around a few times found an operator who was willing to listen and suggested I be transferred to a random store manager to see if they could help me.

Not feeling very confident that I was going to receive a resolution, I reluctantly agreed to speak with a random store manager who had not sold me the product but was somehow supposed to assist.

All my apprehension vanished when I spoke with Kevin Homes from Nunawading, Repco who was understandably surprised that a problem from another state was thrust upon his lap but without hesitation he proceed to listen to my problem, asked for a copy of the battery configuration photos and said he would get back to me.

It was not long before Kevin called me back with the CORRECT configuration and also advised against the Repco North Lakes, QLD suggested configuration which would have resulted in untold damage.

I followed Kevin’s instruction and the mobile clinic truck is back up and running.

Thanks to excellent brand ambassadors like Kevin who take customer centricity to world class levels, my problem was resolved, and a product return and negative feedback averted.

Great work Kevin and I hope that Repco can bottle and recognise what you bring to enhancing their brand.

Your Bundaberg West store is shit ‘ the staff are a bunch of idiots and there’s a small blond young lady who brings a absolute bitich fact to every experience ‘ your representatives at the store don’t try to help in any way ‘ the manager is a dick ‘ and Bundaberg auto barn and super cheap are far better with help and available parts with no dick head factor ‘ the staff at bundaberg west store are costing your business in every way ‘ retraining or restaffing is a must ‘ I’ve moved on from that shit show. Never to come back.

I wish i could give a zero star rating. Bloodsucking thieves. I would never shop or recommend Repco to anyone ever, no wonder their staff rotation across their stores is high, nobody wants to be apart of this deceitful company. They will suck every cent out of you to satisfy the CEO's very very deep pockets. This company needs to be reviewed.

Went into new rosebud store and was ignored by two mature retail service men...too busy mucking around doing impersonations....pick you game up...customer service is so important...will not be back

Went to Repco Ellenbrook to enquire on a tool set after receiving a text message. Told that I could not get any discount for 25% off day as it is only online.

Did an online order on Monday as I'm extremely busy working from home, the Melton store is 10.5 kilometers from my home.

I waited until Wednesday as i thought that would be a reasonable time frame for delivery, sent 2 emails to repco asking what the status of the order was, got an email back on Thursday saying contact the store in Melton.

Waited until Friday morning about 10 am and rang the Melton store, the order was there in the system but nothing had been done about it, got told by her it will be delivered today.

I then asked if that was guaranteed as i needed the items that day and past experience with most stores i have had dealings with this has almost never been true, she said yes it will definitely be today (Friday), so i waited until 3pm, 5 hours later and decided to shut up shop and head into the store to pick up the items.

Got to the store and walked inside asked about the order and then headed over to the trade counter where there was 100% no order ready or on the shelf for the delivery driver, eventually the order paperwork was found and all i wanted to do was pick it up and leave, no attitude no drama just wanted what i paid for and to leave.

Then i get asked by another female who had nothing to do with me or my request, do i have a mask or why wasn't i wearing a mask cant really remember, told her i didn't need one, conversation should've stopped right there about it.

I'm medically exempt and that's the end of it, if masks are so good and you are wearing one then why do i need one, you're safe.

So after giving back what i feel was aimed at me due to their lack of service, i feel the only reason the mask comment was made was in retaliation to me picking up my order and maybe looking a bit irritated, yes i wasn't happy and why should i be, I've had to wait almost a whole working week for an item to be driven 10.5 kilometers to then have to close up my business and pick up the items myself.

To walk into a store and have someone have a go at me for not conforming to a stupid draconian request and the lack of an easily readable sign on the front door does tend to put me in a defensive position, if they had of just delivered my order that was paid for in advance i would never have had to have been in the store in the first place.

So after asking for a refund and being told in about a 1000th of a second yep no problem i turned to leave, maybe you should train your workers about customer resolution, yes I'm defensive but if you don't antagonize me ill just leave quietly.

So the next drama, checked my bank details today to see that the refund had been partially paid, the delivery fee had not been refunded, so after posting a comment on the repco store Facebook page i get told i need to come into the store about the delivery refund, short story you do not want me back in that store over a $10 refund as i cant guarantee that I'm not going to react well if your workers show me any sort of attitude, so just pay the full refund as you should have in the first place, ill never step foot in a repco store again as long as i live and we can all go about our lives as if it never even happened, unless repco policy is to escalate trivial issues by stealing from customers and forcing face to face confrontations over a $10 refund that's not being paid?

I'd also like to add that as i left i walked across to super-cheap auto 100m away and got what i needed, identical items for $10 more that you charged me even with your 25% off sale, so i know who the better option is for future purchases.

Lift you game repco, you have lost a customer for life and even though you probably couldn't care less and this review means absolutely nothing to anyone but me i feel it should be shared anyway.

we were on holidays at Halls Gap when our alternator ceased. We called Repco Ararat where all staff went above & beyond to help our situation. In particular Paul who ordered in the part and kept us informed along the way.

The customer service we received was exceptional and we are truly grateful for the help we received by this store.
