Page after page of bad reviews seem to tell Telstra nothing. So much for the National carrier. Some dolt in a suit says poor service is the effective way to be a productive Company. These "Review" messages are seen as a way customers can let off steam, then things return to the status quo. It really is pathetic. Unfortunately, there is no way to give a negative star rating.
Thought I'd closed my old account months ago after being forced onto the new Up Front plans (prepaid by another name, would be fraudulent & misleading sales tactics in private enterprise but not toolstra), after several chat sessions with poorly trained monkeys overseas reading scripts I find that it is still open and has MY MONEY sitting in it, but Toolstra can't be bothered telling me !
It's now been over a month waiting for a refund cheque to arrive in the mail and still no communications...
Several hours in chat and on the phone glean the same condescending lies and misinformation, claiming they can't see the account or yes the refund has been issued but we can't see the date the cheque was sent.
I would complain but who to, you can't contact an Australian based account manager, you can't get into the local toolstra store (100km round trip) without a wait of several hours only to be lied to, the TIO isn't interested so what option do we have.... Absolutely none..
I'd change carriers if I could, but we only have Toolstra here, being rural they know they have us over a barrel and regularly bend us over it without lube.
You can't complain about the customer service because it simply does not exist, staff know they are safe in their jobs because they are mostly off shore and there is ZERO accountability.
This started under Andy Penn and looks like the new thief at the top of the pecking order is no better, getting paid, millions for what ?
It's time to pick up your game Toolstra.
1 Star is too good. No wonder there are pages of complaints. As a small business owner who has used Telstra for nearly 40 years, I am appalled. All I wanted to do was to transfer internet to Telstra with the rest of our accounts rather than through a 3rd party and here we are nearly 3 months later with Telstra seemingly unable to ratify even the simplest of requests. Opaque? The only calls we ever receive are from the Philippines and start at the beginning each time - and still not resolved. SHOCKING! Don't suppose Brad Whitcomb will actually pick up the phone and call?
Wasted hours for no service. Being forced to give 1 star before could Submit when wanted to give 0 speaks volumes.
ITS VERY BAD CONNECTION
Telstra has created the most unrewarding Customer Service Experience in Global History ..... You can't even beg someone to buy stuff off them ???..... I'm not sure what head office does that is effective ..... Except increase prices ....Google reviews are TRASH but they still don't care ???? If I was a Share Holder I would explode !!!!
Absolutely appalling behaviour and customer service from Telstra. I have spent many hours trying to get help from the customer service team with horrible results. One day I spent 12 hours talking to someone at Telstra asking me the same questions repeatedly with the same answer just to be told 12 hrs later that my request to upgrade my plan could not be put through and that I should try again the next day. Tonight I asked if I could use the $600 I have in points to pay towards my bill, I was told no and that’s all well and good but I figured out that I’m being over charged $400! $400 for no reason and that they’ve taken thousands of points from me for no given reason and the assistance online is dodging my questions! Refusing to answer them! I also received a message yesterday stating that my packages had been delivered (they had not) when I contacted Telstra they said they would look into it for me, 6hrs later still no response. My husband went for a ride through our vineyard to make sure everything was okay, low and behold my packages had been thrown from the road into the vineyard by the delivery driver from Telstra! I will no longer be continuing with Telstra! Absolutely absurd.
I am so angry that not only are the customers of Telstra treated like idiots we are also unable to email anyone at headquarters or anywhere for that matter to get a response apart from the usual glib answers given when to speak on the phone or the so called chat lines.
The whole system is a farce and I would love to point out changes that would be simple to put in place but there’s no one who I can contact. What are they afraid of ? I’m a shareholder and a long time customer and I’m sick to death of the way the websites and apps are set up. The phone services are a disgrace from a multi billion dollar public communication company.
What a joke. I have had 10 days of being treated like a moron from a dozen different customer service agents. Telstra claimed they did not receive a returned phone and are charging me for it even though they finally admitted today to having had it for 5 weeks. Can I get the bill changed ????? After wasting 14 hours over 10 days the answer is still no. Telstra is an absolute disgrace.
