Hoyts Australia are not a very nice bunch of people on the 28/5/2022 an Adelaide Hoyts Lux staff member had been directly and indirectly discriminated again and that staff member had tried telling me that Hoyt’s Lux cinema had been and didn’t know when it would reopen again clearly refusing me service due clearly hating without having a real reason a few minutes later I purchased a Lux ticket from the normal area of Hoyts front counter and made a formal complaint. The manager had been acting just a real jerk and a major dick towards me and sided with the staff member that had been intentionally refusing to serve me later on that same afternoon inside of that Hoyt’s Lux cinema that same manger had started belittle me bully me and had been really smart and nasty towards intentionally trying use major intimidation tactics towards me right in front of large numbers of customers inside of that Lux Modbury cinema. I had got up walked out on my way out after talking to a young female staff member that same manager then tried belittling me by say so what’s wrong now being a smart ass about in his tone of voice. I just said nothing and walked out.
When I hear that Hoyts has gone bankrupt I won’t shed a tear your customer service is absolutely disgusting to ask a simple question you have to submit it in an email we haven’t been to the movies in years and I was going to take my children I’d rather go and spend it on a movie I can download from the Internet now.
I have a ticket open with your support team and it has been the worst experience I have ever got from an organisation. Its been 10 days and even after sending 5 emails still no response. I even wonder if there is any customer service team at Hoyts??
Request (540258) number. Can please someone look at it.
By far the worst customer experience from a so called corporation. They are scared to speak to customers, as not one phone call is answered at a cinema or the head office. Ill definitely be supporting my small local cinema over this large corporation. From a company that survives on customers.
What an irresponsible company you are your online is NOT working and calling is impossible to speak to anyone. IF there is LESS than 1 star to tick I would do so with a MINUS !!!!
The worst two staff we’ve ever come across the girl at the counter serving us didn’t understand a simple order then after explaining it to so many times I was starting to get a little stressed and she said I can’t speak to you anymore I need my manger who turners out to be a crazy power tripper!!
Nice friendly night at the movies!! We were concerned they were the type the would spit on the food.
I do not rate Hoyts at all. Purchased tickets for a family movie was overcharged young girl could not resolve so took it up with Hoyts .Overcharge recognised but paid refund to a credit card that was NOT used to buy the tickets in the first place but going by them the refund has been paid but not to me. I have taken it up with consumer affairs and they are in breach of section 60 of the Consumer affairs act. Find it mind boggling that they think it is acceptable to do this and not fix their error. Would you be happy if they put your refund into incorrect account ? I star cos l could not submitt without rating !
Tried to raise a complaint and they have zero interest in trying to remedy it. They make it really hard to contact them and they have no complaint process. Very poor for such a big organisation who you would have thought was keen to improve.
Absolute rubbish you can’t get to talk to anybody you have to submit an email what a pathetic corporation!!
Took our elderly mother with walking difficulties to Bankstown cinemas. Some teenagers were having a party in the lift and kept the lift going up and and down so we couldn't use the lift. This went on and on. I made a complaint. The manager said that she couldn't control people in the lift. Said the lift was working so there was nothing more she could do. Meanwhile my 88 year old mother had to walk down a massive flight of stairs. And to top it off a group of workers stood at the bottom of the stairs watching my mother struggle and laughing at me because I was so upset. Disgraceful. Have made a complaint in writing to Hoyts and the response was that the lift was working. Nothing else. Guess I'll be just going to Event Cinemas from now on. Can't abide by a group of staff who treat customers as though they are a joke. So insulting.
