"First complaint ;

When I called the 1800 number and pressed 5 now, then pressed 1 now, which is the option to specifically make a complaint, I spent 10 minutes on hold listening to recorded messages about how important my call is, and your virtue signalling about your commitment to diversity before I lost my patience and hung up.

Second complaint ;

The staff at your Bateau Bay store have literally no idea of the concept of customer service.

Every time I've been in that store, there are "This register closed, please use another register" signs on every regular counter, while there are 2, 3, or 4 staff standing behind them, always chatting with each other and occasionally casually folding clothes or bundling coat hangers. There is another staff member at the end of the cattle queue directing a long line of customers to the self serve registers which are almost all either card only or out of order.

This seems like a terrible prioritisation at any time, but especially during busy periods like Thursday nights, where you can be expected to wait 10 minutes for the privilege of serving yourself, only to be harassed by the only conscientious member of staff in your employ to produce a receipt on your way out.

It wasn't my idea to put your registers in the middle of the store so that customers must then walk through half the store and merchandise to the exit.

Which brings me to my third complaint;

At 11am today I unfortunately went into this store again to purchase something unavailable elsewhere in the Bateau Bay shopping centre.

I bought one item and held it in my hand with the receipt clearly visible on top of it as I exited.

A woman (I believe, although these days who knows?), whose name is Joe, accosted me as I left demanding to see my receipt. In doing so she stood right up against me in contravention of your own alleged Covid 19 social distancing policy without so much as a mask on.

She had just watched me leave the checkout and could clearly see the receipt I was holding against the item I purchased.

When she told me to produce the receipt, I asked why it was necessary to be almost touching me given I clearly saw her watch me purchase the item.

She insisted I had to show her the receipt as half a dozen other people walked out unmolested and I told her that actually, I don't believe I had to prove my property was mine, especially given she'd just watched me purchase it.

She then looked down at the receipt in my hand again and said "Well I can see it anyway" and dismissed me as if to assert she'd had the final say with "Off you go. I don't need this".

I told her the implication that I was a shoplifter offended me given I'd done nothing to warrant it and, indeed, I had just walked directly to the item, carried it directly to the checkout where she watched me pay for it and collect the receipt which I then held clearly against the item as I headed directly towards her at the exit only to have her decide she would approach to within about 20cm of me despite all the social distancing signage all over the place, without a mask on, and ostensibly for the purpose of proving that which she clearly already knew!

She laughed at me in an intentionally condescending manner as she turned away shaking her head.

I can tell you unequivocally I will in future drive 20-30 minutes to Erina or Tuggerah to shop at Big W before I ever go into your store again. The staff are disinterested at best, outright rude more often than not, and worst of all in breach of your own policy, not to mention Government Health Guidelines during a pandemic.

I can also tell you that if I get Covid 19 I will hold both Kmart, and her personally, responsible.

What an absolute disgrace. No wonder the online reviews are so poor."

I'd give zero stars if it were possible.

I would like to say a massive thank you to the KMART team in Keysborough Victoria, for all their help in making my grandaughter's 3rd birthday an amazing one. Due to the current lockdown situation, it has been difficult to do your normal birthday shopping. KMART Keysborough is so caring and are so amazing in ensuring that everything I need for her 3rd birthday was ready in time and their customer service on the phone was amazing I would give them 10 stars if I could. from my family to you all THANK YOU she had an amazing 3rd birthday on the 25 August 2020.

Kmart online doesn't even deserves 1 star rating. Wish i can give -100 rating.

I placed online order on sunday 30/08/2020 at 3:35 pm. Order status didnt change until tuesday. Kept showing processing. Everytime i went online in my account and asked for tax invoice, it says email sent with no email received ever. No money taken from account. I called tuesday and the lady said something went wrong with the payment and your order was never processed so put the order again. I have seen so many bad reviews about your worst online service and told the women “no thank you“ I dont want to order. Today after 4 days, money has been taken from my account, account status still showing processing and I still cannot get invoice. Can you please explain what the hell is going on? If the order didnt go through then why have you taken the money and if the order has gone through then why it is still showing processing? Order no 56848460. Your website says we should receive an email in 5 mins, within 24 hrs its ready for delivery and in 7 days its delivered. I didnt even receive an email yet and its been 4 days!!!

Will i get the order this year???????????

Any chance of Kmart sourcing Australian made products to promote and sell rather than overseas imports.

The calalogue dated from Thursday 12th until 25th November 2020.

Page 38. Product C. 126 piece art set. This product is unavailable in Ballarat or Melbourne. l rang head office in NZ, and this product won't be available for 4 weeks. Why then is this product advertised? l can't wait 4 weeks and then potentially find that it is unavailable once again. l was told that it is unavailable on line, and was unable to ascertain when l can do this and how much more it will cost.

I am writing to just let you know it’s quite disappointing to see so many nice looking clothes up to size 16-18. But when you go to the plus size section eg size 22-24 not a great choice. Nothing in pyjamas. Long cool pants nil. A couple nice tops not a big choice though. I feel more emphasis by the plus size buyers need to be looking at the range. The rest of k mart is great for homewares, accessories etc. today I noticed quite a few bigger ladies looking but not buying . I feel it’s lack of choice. Be great to see a bigger range come in .

Tried phoning Toowong (Qld), managed to get through to select option to be put through to. After 8 minutes of the phoning wringing waiting for someone to answer the call dropped out. This is not the first time I have phoned a Kmart store for the same thing to happen. This is extremely bad customer service. Very frustrating
